Workshop

One 3D printer in the work room, still on the easy filaments.

The X2D has two nozzles on one toolhead. The main one runs direct drive off the AMS 2 Pro sitting on top, and the auxiliary is fed over a Bowden tube from a spool bolted to the back. Everything that has come off it so far is PLA or PETG, and I have not turned the chamber heater on once. There is no ethernet port on it, so it sits on WiFi with a static lease from AdGuard, on the Bambu cloud account rather than LAN Only mode, and nothing from it reaches Home Assistant. Power is a second UT2200E rather than a share of the rack one: on a smart plug it bursts under 1100W and sits around 400W.

3D printer (enclosed)Bambu Lab X2D
Work room. Two nozzles on one toolhead, direct drive on the main and a Bowden feed on the auxiliary. 0.4mm hardened steel nozzles, 300°C hotend, 120°C textured PEI plate, 256 x 256 x 260mm of build volume. Chamber heater goes to 65°C, unused so far. No ethernet port, so it is on WiFi with a static lease from AdGuard.
Four-spool feederAMS 2 Pro
On top of the printer, feeding the main nozzle. Also a dryer, though it does not run during a print. The desiccant stays in.
Auxiliary feedExternal Spool Holder
On the back, through the Bowden extruder into the auxiliary nozzle. The fifth spool, and where support material goes when I use it.
Filter moduleExhaust Filtration
Bolts to the back and vents the chamber through HEPA and activated carbon. It cuts the smell rather than removing it.
UPS (printer)Cyberpower UT2200E
2200VA / 1320W. A second unit, so the printer is not sharing a battery with the rack. Measured on a smart plug, under 1100W on burst and about 400W steady.
SlicerBambu Studio
Slicing and sending jobs, with Bambu Handy on the phone for the camera. Cloud account rather than LAN Only mode.
